About School

Defence Public School is founded on the rich legacy of three generations of military service, with a vision to create an institution that blends rigorous academic excellence with the discipline, resilience, and leadership instilled by military ethos. The school's roots trace back to Choudhary Cheeranjeev Khari, who served alongside Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in the Indian National Army during pivotal campaigns such as the Burma Campaign. His grandson, Sgt Bhoomesh Khari (Retd), brought this legacy to the Indian Air Force, serving with distinction during the Kargil War. Now, Wg Cdr Tanuj Khari, a serving fighter pilot, continues this proud tradition as a Qualified Flying Instructor and Experimental Test Pilot in the Indian Air Force. Together, these three generations embody the core values of courage, integrity, and dedication, which have been seamlessly integrated into the ethos of Defence Public School.

The school is not just about academic learning; it is a place where the character and leadership of each student are shaped through structured military-inspired training. At Defence Public School, we believe that education is best paired with discipline and resilience, which is why our curriculum incorporates a unique blend of military training alongside traditional academics. Our students engage in obstacle courses, horse riding, parades, and a range of outdoor activities designed to build physical strength, teamwork, and mental toughness. Additionally, one day a week is dedicated to military activities, fostering respect for authority, teamwork, and a sense of national pride. This holistic approach ensures that our students are not only equipped with knowledge but also the practical skills and leadership qualities required to succeed in life.

Defence Public School is the ideal choice for parents seeking an institution that nurtures well-rounded individuals, ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow. With a focus on discipline, patriotism, and a strong sense of responsibility, our students are prepared to become leaders in every field they choose, embodying the values of courage, integrity, and excellence — qualities that have defined the “Khari” family’s service to the nation for generations.
